Air France/KLM Flying Blue’s August 2024 Promo Rewards Sale
by Krish Patel
If you’re planning a trip to or from cities such as Belfast, Frankfurt, Zurich, Boston, Dubai, Cairo, and Toronto, you might want to take advantage of the Flying Blue Promo Rewards sale. The sale applies to a specific travel window and in this case, you can save cash if you book by the end of this month for travel until January 31, 2025.
The sale applies to flights operated by either Air France or KLM. For this month, the routes with the Promo Rewards sale are all Economy flights mostly within Europe or to certain North American cities. However, there are some long-haul flights to a few other destinations outside of North America.
Flights within Europe start at 5,265 Flying Blue miles, while long-haul Economy flights start at 15,000 miles one-way, with 25% off for each of the routes part of the sale. The best part is that Flying Blue allows you to add a free stopover without having to pay any more miles, where you can spend a few days in a certain city during a connection. However, you’ll need to call Flying Blue in order to do so. You are going to need specific travel dates because you’ll want to find award availability for Economy Class.
There are several ways to earn Flying Blue miles without having to fly, and the following points currencies transfer to Flying Blue at a 1:1 ratio:
● American Express Membership Rewards
● Chase Ultimate Rewards
● Capital One Miles
● Wells Fargo Rewards
● Citi ThankYou Rewards (25% transfer bonus until August 17 of 2024)
Marriott Bonvoy points transfer to Flying Blue at a 3:1 ratio, with a 5,000 mile transfer bonus for every 60,000 Bonvoy points that are transferred. Flying Blue isn’t the most valuable Marriott transfer partner, so it’s best to transfer your credit card points to complete your booking. Some of the best cards for booking airfare are the Amex Platinum Card, the Amex Gold Card, the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, and the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card. Each of the mentioned cards comes with decent earning rates when purchasing airfare.
The Promo Rewards are a reliable sale worth taking advantage of when headed from and to a certain city. You can save a lot of points on airfare and it’s easy to transfer points because Flying Blue has partnered with pretty much every major transferable points currency. For those of you looking to travel between any of these destinations, now is a great time to book.
