Qatar to Launch a New Qsuite Product on the Boeing 777X

The Qsuite we all know and love will get even better. Qatar Airways will soon welcome the Boeing 777X into its fleet, which is currently going under a lengthy certification process. While the current Qsuite wins its recognition as the world’s best Business Class, the next generation Qsuite will possess high-tech features that aren’t found in the current product.
These new seats will be wider than the current Qsuite and will take advantage of the 777X’s wide interior. Qatar’s 777X Qsuite will offer more leg and knee room and more storage areas. Storage space is probably going to be the biggest upgrade in the suite, with more storage options. The next generation Qsuite will offer two drawers for storage, one of which can be locked like a safe. Both drawers would be able to fit a tablet or a pair of headphones. Besides the area under the seat in front of you, there will be a dedicated space to store a backpack.
Like the current Qsuite product, the seats in the center section will have dividers that can be slid to form a Qsuites quad for families or a party of several travelers. However, unlike the current Qsuite, the entertainment screens along the windows can be slid out of the way if two travelers booked into window suites want to chat during a meal. Between rows, the Qsuites will alternate between facing forwards and backwards.
The new IFE monitors will sport the airline’s award-winning Oryx One entertainment system, but have been upgraded to 4K OLED monitors. Another cool high-tech feature is the motorized sliding door that isn’t manual like the current Qsuite door. Even without a door, the space will already be snug and private, with higher seat walls. During my Qsuite flight from Doha to New York, I wasn’t able to see a single passenger seated, thanks to the high seat walls, but having taller walls will certainly upgrade the privacy to a new level.
We shouldn't expect to see this product fly until later next year, or early in 2026, when the 777X is expected to take flight for Qatar Airways. Until then, passengers will have a luxurious product to enjoy on most of the current Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s.
