The Park Hyatt in London Near River Thames Will Accept Reservations Starting this October

by Krish Patel

London’s hotel scene is about to get even better. With the addition of a Park Hyatt near the River Thames, loyal World of Hyatt members headed to England this autumn will have a new luxurious hotel to enjoy. According to Hyatt’s website, the Park Hyatt London River Thames will be open for reservations from October 1, 2024, for reservations in November.

Originally, the 203-room hotel was supposed to open in 2022, with plans to build a Park Hyatt in London announced in 2020. However, the opening has been pushed to November of 2024. The hotel’s location will be in the One Nines Elms development, which is a skyscraper project currently under construction. Thanks to the Nine Elms Station on the Northern line extension, the Park Hyatt hotel is well-connected to the rest of the city, making transportation easy and efficient.

For guests to enjoy, there will be two restaurants, a bar and lounge serving food and beverages, a wine-tasting room, a spa, a gym, and a 20 meter swimming pool. Regular rooms at the hotel will be around 290 to 398 square feet, while the suites will be at least 560 square feet. The largest suite in the hotel is the presidential suite, clocking in at 1,851 square feet. Many of the rooms will offer dramatic views of the River Thames down below.

It’s important for World of Hyatt members to know that this is a Category 7 Hyatt property. Per night, it will cost 25,000 to 35,000 Hyatt points to stay in a standard room, however, guests looking to splurge can stay in one of the suites for 43,000 to 53,000 points per night. Of course, those with Hyatt Globalist elite status can use their free night award certificate, which can be used at Category 1-7 hotels in the Hyatt portfolio. Redemptions start at under $650 (£500) per night for a standard room and fluctuate even further if you’re looking to book a suite.

Are you looking to maximize your Hyatt purchase for a future hotel stay in London? Well, consider completing your booking using the World of Hyatt Credit Card ($95 annual fee). After spending $3,000 in the first three months of account opening, you’ll earn 30,000 Hyatt points. You can earn 30,000 more points by spending up to $15,000 (ouch) on purchases and earning two bonus points per dollar spent in the first six months of account opening. On Hyatt resort and hotel stays, you’ll earn four bonus points per dollar spent.
