Travel Alert: Fly to Costa Rica from Various U.S. Cities for less than $300 Round-Trip

A new deal offered by several carriers is now offering the opportunity to fly to Costa Rica and enjoy the incredible beaches and nature offered by the country for less than $300 round-trip at a big discount for Economy fares. Each of the big three U.S. carriers, including United, Delta, and American, are now offering flights to cities such as San Jose and Liberia for as low as $212 round-trip. This deal encompasses a very generous travel window that lasts until February of 2025. Some of the cities with flights including a stop or a direct journey are Miami, Washington D.C., and Baltimore.

From Miami, American Airlines offers heavily discounted Economy fares round-trip to Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica in September and October. Prices start at $212 round-trip. How good of a deal is this? Well, according to Google Flights, $212 is $127 cheaper than a similar itinerary for the same type of travel. Using Google’s flight search engine is a great way to find the cheapest airfare if you’re looking to book in cash.

Flights to Liberia, Costa Rica, from Washington’s Ronald Reagan National Airport, DCA, are for $249 on United round-trip. However, this itinerary includes a layover in Houston’s George Bush InterContinental Airport, IAH. If you live in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area and are willing to pay a lower price at the expense of taking a connection, this is the right flight for you. According to Google flights, similar itineraries would normally start at more than $400 round-trip.

For the best round-trip fares to Costa Rica, you should fly nonstop from Miami. September and October are the times when the fares are significantly discounted, making this a deal to consider. However, travelers living in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area are also in luck because flight prices start at less than $300 round-trip.
