A new deal offered by several carriers is now offering the opportunity to fly to Costa Rica and enjoy the incredible beaches and nature offered by the country for less than $300 round-trip at a big discount for Economy fares. Each of the big three U.S. carriers, including United, Delta, and American, are now offering flights to cities such as San Jose and Liberia for as low as $212 round-trip. This deal encompasses a very generous travel window that lasts until February of 2025. Some of the cities with flights including a stop or a direct journey are Miami, Washington D.C., and Baltimore.

In late June, we spent a week exploring the beautiful state of Alaska and saw some incredible natural sites. Chase has a collection of modern and stunning airport lounges, one of which is situated within New York’s JFK. Located in Terminal Four post security on the mezzanine level, the Sapphire Lounge is open from 5 AM to 11 PM and features plenty of comfortable seating, individually plated food items at the buffet, a flagship bar, and beautiful artwork from the J.P. Morgan artwork collection. The Sapphire Lounge at JFK is one that is worth going out of your way for.

If you travel a lot and are loyal to a certain airline, having elite status can change your travel experience and give you certain benefits. The perks of having Premier status with United don’t come free, and require a certain number of points. It’s important to consider the benefits and drawbacks of having Premier status with United versus having elite status with another airline.

When people think of the Airbus A380, Etihad isn’t usually the first airline that comes to mind. However, Etihad’s A380s are some of the most luxurious aircraft, featuring a spacious Business Class Studios cabin, First Class Apartments with an armchair that is separate from the bed, and the three room Etihad Residence, with a private bedroom and shower. Etihad favors luxury over fun in Business Class, with premium amenities and seats with more than sufficient storage and legroom. I was excited when Etihad announced it would begin flying the A380s to New York after reintroducing the aircraft on flights to London Heathrow, so I booked a seat in their Business Studios cabin when returning from Ahmedabad, India, via Abu Dhabi.

The Qsuite we all know and love will get even better. Qatar Airways will soon welcome the Boeing 777X into its fleet, which is currently going under a lengthy certification process. While the current Qsuite wins its recognition as the world’s best Business Class, the next generation Qsuite will possess high-tech features that aren’t found in the current product.

Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport is massive, with one of the largest and nicest flagship lounges of an airline. Etihad’s Business Class Lounge at AUH is stunning, with beautiful accents and lighting. The lounge features shower suites, a full service bar, an extensive buffet, á la carte dining, and more than plenty of comfortable seating. After spending almost four hours in this lounge, I can confirm that it’s one of the best lounges anywhere.

London’s hotel scene is about to get even better. With the addition of a Park Hyatt near the River Thames, loyal World of Hyatt members headed to England this autumn will have a new luxurious hotel to enjoy. According to Hyatt’s website, the Park Hyatt London River Thames will be open for reservations from October 1, 2024, for reservations in November.
